Features: Update the Project File From Microsoft Outlook

Steelray includes a free application for use with Microsoft Outlook (download) to help process task updates generated within our viewer.

In Steps 1 and 2, the project manager prepared the project file, and the user generated a task update email from within Steelray Project Viewer.

Step 3: The Project Manager Updates the Project File From Within Microsoft Outlook

Project Managers can use Steelray Project Updater (download) to automatically update MPP files in Project. Simply run the program and drag an update e-mail to it!

Open the task in Microsoft Project an apply the update: Select this option to update the task automatically with the information provided in the update. Microsoft Project will be opened and the task will be updated. To accept the changes in Microsoft Project, save the MPP file.
Open the task in Microsoft Project: Select this option to open Microsoft Project centered on the task specified in the update (no changes will be made).
Open the project in Microsoft Project: Select this option to open the project specified in the update in Microsoft Project (no changes will be made).

Select OK to proceed, or Cancel to abandon the changes.
