If you create and share a PDF file from your project file, all you'll have is one snapshot of one view in Microsoft Project. With Steelray Project Viewer, you'll have the Gantt Chart, Calendar, Resource Usage, and all of the other core views. As in Project, you can search and filter your data quickly to find the information that you need. Try doing that with a PDF file!

Sharing a project file with your team? If you store your project file on a server, everyone with Steelray Project Viewer will be able to open the file and see the latest information the minute you save your changes. This will eliminate the need to create a PDF file.

  

A Printing System That's Easier to Use than Microsoft Project

Printing project schedules can be a frustrating experience. We designed Steelray Project Viewer's printing system to take the frustration and surprises away. Some of the features:

  • Preview all pages, one page, or actual size.
  • Scale to any size and immediately see the effect on the output.
  • Control the display of page numbers, headings on the ouput.

Browser-like Navigation With Detail Views

Our project viewer is the world's first (and only) project navigator. Browsing through your project file is as easy as surfing the web! Detail views let you drill down into the critical project information. Back and Forward buttons allow you to retrace your steps.

Click on a task name, and we'll show you detailed information about that task. Click on a resource name, and you'll see the assignments for that resource. Click on a date, and you'll see what starting, finishing, and in progress on that date.

  

Built-In Search Engine

Steelray Project Viewer provides the world's first search engine integrated into a project viewer. Steelray will search through the task information, resource names, and dates in your project and return the information you are seeking. If you can browse the web, you can find your information in our viewer.

  

Send Task Updates to the Project Manager

Excel Support
