Relief for Excel Users

Did you know that more people actually use Microsoft® Excel for managing projects than use Microsoft® Project?

Until now, those users have not had a lot of the nicer features of Microsoft® Project: Gantt charts, Calendar views, Resource Usage, etc.

With Steelray's Excel support, those users get the best of all worlds: the simplicity of entering project information in Excel, the graphical views that Microsoft® Project users enjoy, and the world-class navigation features of Steelray.

Try Steelray for free and see for yourself how it works!

What Is It?

Steelray can open project files that you create using Microsoft Excel from our Steelray for Excel template. You enter information about your project in Excel using our template, and Steelray can open the file and display Gantt charts, Calendars, etc. exactly as it does with Microsoft Project files.

How It Works

Using Steelray with Microsoft Excel is very simple:

  1. Create a project file using our Steelray for Excel template. Enter tasks, dates, resources, etc. into your spreadsheet.
  2. Save the Excel file.
  3. Open the Excel file in Steelray.

Our Excel tour shows you exactly how Excel support in Steelray works.
